Privacy policy

Last updated: 4 November 2026

This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why, who it is shared with and what your rights are. “We” means The Wears, the band from Stockport who run this site. If you have a question about it, email us at james@easytigerartists.com.

The short version

  • You can read the site, see our gigs and listen to our music without telling us anything about yourself.
  • We only collect your details when you buy merch, join our mailing list or email us.
  • We use them for that and nothing else. We never sell your details or use them for advertising.
  • We don’t use analytics or advertising trackers.

When you buy merch

To take and deliver your order we need your name, email address and delivery address, plus a phone number if you choose to give one. We also keep a record of what you ordered and what you paid. We use this to post your order, to send you emails about it, and to deal with any return or question about it. The legal basis is that we need it to fulfil our contract with you.

Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and are never seen or stored by us. To prevent fraud, Stripe also collects some information about your device and how you use the checkout.

Orders are posted by Royal Mail. We give them your name and delivery address, and your email address or phone number if they are used to send you tracking updates.

We keep order records for six years after the end of the tax year they belong to, because the law requires us to keep accounting records for that long.

When you join our mailing list

If you sign up for news about our music, gigs and merch, we keep your email address so we can email you. We only do this because you asked us to, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. Our mailing list is run by Mailchimp, which also tells us whether our emails are opened. When you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you straight away.

When you email us

Emails to our contact address go to our management, Easy Tiger Artists, who look after bookings and enquiries for the band. We use what you send to reply to you, and delete it once it is no longer needed.

Videos and music players

Our videos come from YouTube and our music player from Spotify. Nothing from either loads until you press play. When you do, that video or player is loaded from YouTube (owned by Google) or Spotify, who can then see your IP address and set their own cookies, as described in the Google privacy policy and the Spotify privacy policy.

Cookies

The site uses a few cookies that it needs in order to work, such as the ones that remember what is in your basket and the one that remembers your cookie choices. Any others are only set if you agree to them. Our cookie policy lists them all, and you can change your choices at any time from the “Manage consent” button.

Who else sees your information

Only the companies named above, and the company that hosts and looks after this website, W Web Design. Each of them only uses your information to provide their service to us. We would also share it if the law required us to.

Some of these companies are based in the United States or process information there. Where they do, they protect it with the safeguards UK data protection law requires, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK’s approved contract terms.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to ask us to stop using it or to restrict how we use it, and to have it given to you in a form you can take elsewhere. Some of these rights have limits. For example, we cannot delete an order record that we are required to keep for tax purposes. To use any of them, email us at james@easytigerartists.com. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK’s data protection regulator.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
